Chongqing Yubei Flexible Solar Module Project has a significant power generation, increasing Chongqing’s sun hours from 800 to 940
Chongqing HG New Energy Group Co., Ltd. (HG GROUP), a professional manufacturer specializing in the research, production, and sales of flexible solar modules, successfully implemented a 1.023MW distributed photovoltaic power station project on the rooftop of an automobile enterprise in Yubei District, Chongqing, in early 2023. This project utilized our HG-L375-60BW flexible solar modules, with a total of 2,728 modules of 375W rated power each. The project was self-financed by the owner and officially connected to the grid in May 2023.
As of July 2024, the owner provided a full year of power generation data, totaling 941,300 kWh. Based on Chongqing’s peak sun hours of 800, conventional glass solar modules are expected to generate only around 800,000 kWh. However, with HG’s flexible solar modules, not only were costs for supports, labor, and time saved, but the actual power generation exceeded the theoretical amount by approximately 141,300 kWh. This effectively raised Chongqing’s effective sun hours to about 941, thanks to the excellent low-light performance and unique high polymer composite material encapsulation of HG’s flexible solar modules.
The owner promptly shared the power generation data with us and fully acknowledged the superior performance of HG’s flexible solar modules.
